The first painting of my 2021. My main focus was Movement - Depicting it but also making it a (sweeping) fundamental part of the process of creation. I lined up colours I envisioned along my palette knife (twice, two sweeps) and really felt and exaggerated the upward motion I used to make this. Bent at the knees, allowing my pelvis and back to guide my arm in an upward joyous SWEEP!
